Underwater ROV Overview

Welcome to the '07-'08 TJHSST Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle project

The primary goal of this project is to bring real-world situations into a research based classroom. Students work on individual research that is brought together to create a large scale group project and compete with other teams toward a common goal. During the 2007-2008 school year, the Prototyping Lab will be collaborating with Thomas Jefferson's Oceanography Lab in an attempt to mimic the large scale projects found at the university level.

The Underwater ROV project at Thomas Jefferson is based on the MATE ROV Competition http://www.marinetech.org/rov_competition/ that will take place on 19 April 2008.
